This can be reproduced under certain curcomstences.
For example: call app.playback from lua with invalid data: app.playback({}).
pbx_lua.c will try to get data for this playback using lua_tostring function.
This function returs NULL for everything but strings and numbers.
Then, it calls term_color with NULL data.
term_color function can call(if we don't use vt100 compat term)
ast_copy_string with NULL inbuf which cause segfault. bt example:

users.conf was deprecated in Asterisk 21 and is now being removed
for Asterisk 23, in accordance with the Asterisk deprecation policy.
This consists of:
* Removing integration with app_directory, app_voicemail, chan_dahdi,
chan_iax2, and AMI.
* users.conf was also partially used for res_phoneprov, and this remaining
functionality is consolidated to a separate phoneprov_users.conf,
used only by res_phoneprov.

UpgradeNote: users.conf has been removed and all channel drivers must
be configured using their specific configuration files. The functionality
previously in users.conf for res_phoneprov is now in phoneprov_users.conf.
This fixes crashes/hangs I noticed with Asterisk 20.3.0 and 20.13.0 and quickly found out,
that the AEL module doesn't do proper cleanup when it fails to load.
This happens for example when there are syntax errors and AEL fails to compile in which case pbx_load_module()
returns an error but load_module() doesn't then unregister CLI cmds and the application.
* Do a git blame on the embedded XML application or function element.
* From the commit hash, grab the summary line.
* Do a git log --grep <summary> to find the cherry-pick commits in all
branches that match.
* Do a git patch-id to ensure the commits are all related and didn't get
a false match on the summary.
* Do a git tag --contains <commit> to find the tags that contain each
commit.
* Weed out all tags not ..0.
* Sort and discard any .0.0 and following tags where the commit
appeared in an earlier branch.
* The result is a single tag for each branch where the application or function
was defined.
The applications and functions defined in the following files were done by
hand because the XML was extracted from the C source file relatively recently.

* main/logger_doc.xml
* main/manager_doc.xml
* res/res_geolocation/geoloc_doc.xml

`pbx_config` subscribes to manager events to capture the `FullyBooted`
event but fails to unsubscribe if the module is loaded after that
event fires. If the module is unloaded, a crash occurs the next time a
manager event is raised.
We now unsubscribe when the module is unloaded if we haven't already
unsubscribed.

This deprecates the users.conf config file, which
is no longer as widely supported but still integrated
with a number of different modules.
Because there is no real mechanism for marking a
configuration file as "deprecated", and users.conf
is not just used in a single place, this now emits
a warning to the user when the PBX loads to notify
about the deprecation.
This configuration mechanism has been widely criticized
and discouraged since its inception, and is no longer
relevant to the configuration that most users are doing
today. Removing it will allow for some simplification
and cleanup in the codebase.

UpgradeNote: The users.conf config is now deprecated
and will be removed in a future version of Asterisk.
Adds PJSIP as a supported technology to DUNDi.
To facilitate this, we now allow an endpoint to be specified
for outgoing PJSIP calls. We also allow users to force a specific
channel technology for outgoing SIP-protocol calls.

For most modules that interacted with app_macro, this change is limited
to no longer looking for the current context from the macrocontext when
set. Additionally, the following modules are impacted:
app_dial - no longer supports M^ connected/redirecting macro
app_minivm - samples written using macro will no longer work.
The sample needs a re-write
app_queue - can no longer a macro on the called party's channel.
Use gosub which is currently supported
ccss - no callback macro, gosub only
app_voicemail - no macro support
channel - remove macrocontext and priority, no connected line or
redirection macro options
options - stdexten is deprecated to gosub as the default and only

Currently pbx_ael does not check if a reload is currently pending
before proceeding with a reload. This can cause multiple threads to
operate at the same time on what should be mutex protected data. This
change adds protection to reloading to ensure only one ael reload is
executing at a time.

A prior patch segmented channel snapshots, and changed the underlying
data object type associated with ast_channel_snapshot_type stasis
messages. Prior to Asterisk 18 it was a type ast_channel_snapshot, but
now it type ast_channel_snapshot_update.
When publishing ast_channel_snapshot_type in pbx_realtime the
ast_channel_snapshot was being passed in as the message data
object. When a handler, expecting a data object type of
ast_channel_snapshot_update, dereferenced this value a crash
would occur.
This patch makes it so pbx_realtime now uses the expected type, and
channel snapshot publish method when publishing.

This patch fixes a few compile warnings/errors that now occur when using gcc
10+.
Also, the Makefile.rules check to turn off partial inlining in gcc versions
greater or equal to 8.2.1 had a bug where it only it only checked against
versions with at least 3 numbers (ex: 8.2.1 vs 10). This patch now ensures
any version above the specified version is correctly compared.

If a negative (error) return is received from dundi_lookup_internal,
this is not handled correctly when assigning the result to the buffer.
As such, use a signed integer in the assignment and do a proper
comparison.

When a channel snapshot was created it used to be done
from scratch, copying all data (many strings). This incurs
a cost when doing so.
This change segments the channel snapshot into different
components which can be reused if unchanged from the
previous snapshot creation, reducing the cost. In normal
cases this results in some pointers being copied with
reference count being bumped, some integers being set,
and a string or two copied. The other benefit is that it
is now possible to determine if a channel snapshot update
is redundant and thus stop it before a message is published
to stasis.
The specific segments in the channel snapshot were split up
based on whether they are changed together, how often they
are changed, and their general grouping. In practice only
1 (or 0) of the segments actually get changed in normal
operation.
Invalidation is done by setting a flag on the channel when
the segment source is changed, forcing creation of a new
segment when the channel snapshot is created.

* In destroy_peer(), fixed memory leaks of lookup history strings and
qualify transactions when destroying peers.
* In destroy_peer(), fixed leaving the registerexpire scheduled callback
active when a peer is destroyed on a reload. The reload marks and sweeps
peers so any peers not explicitly configured get destroyed. Peers created
dynamically from the '*' peer will not exist until they re-register after
the reload. These destroyed peers caused memory corruption when the
registerexpire timer expired.
* Made build_peer() not schedule any callbacks on the '*' peer
(empty_eid). It is a special peer that is cloned to dynamically created
peers so it doesn't actually get involved in any message transactions.
* Made do_register_expire() remove the dundi/dpeers AstDB entry when a
peer registration expires.
* Fix deep_copy_peer() to not copy some things that cannot be copied to
the cloned peer structure. Timers, message transactions, and lookup
history are specific to a peer instance.
* Made set_config() lock around processing the mappings configuration.
* Reordered unload_module() to handle load_module() declining the load due
to error.

The lua_error_function assumed that lua's debug table and traceback function
are always accessible, which is not the case. This fixes the error message
'Error in the lua error handler' triggred by switch exec() function.
If this happens lua's error message is shown without traceback.

Some (normally optional) modules created notices, warnings, and even errors
in normal situations like (un)load. This cluttered the command-line interface
(CLI) on start and while stopping gracefully. However, when an user went for
the script './contrib/scripts/install_prereq', those modules get compiled-in
because their prerequisites were met at compile time. Furthermore, because of
ASTERISK_27475, the former talkative module 'res_curl' is built as side-effect.

* listen uses the variable `s` for the result from ast_poll() then
overwrites it with the result of accept(). Create a separate variable
poll_result to avoid confusion since ast_poll does not return a file
descriptor.
* Resolve fd leak that would occur if setsockopt failed in listen.
* Reserve an extra byte while processing completion results from remote
daemon. This fixes a bug where completion processing used strstr() on
a string that was not '\0' terminated. This was no risk to the Asterisk
daemon, the bug was only reachable the remote console process.
* Resolve leak in handle_showchan when the channel is not found.
* Multiple leaks and a deadlock in pbx_config CLI completion.
* Fix leaks in "manager show command".

Per the linked issue, we aren't checking the buffer filled by fgets()
to determine if it contains a newline, so we will fail to correctly
parse the trailing portion of a long line.
This patch increases the buffer size from 256 to 1024, and skips any
line that exceeds that length, logging a warning in the process.

The patterns provided by pbx_realtime were checked in the order in
which they were returned from the realtime backend. If there was
overlap between multiple patterns, the first one to correctly match was
chosen even though it may not have been the best match.
We now sort the patterns descending by their length and compare in that
order. There may be cases where this still results in a sub-optimal
match, but this patch should improve the overall behavior.
